CUMC Applications

Faculty, Staff and Students at the Columbia University Medical Center require access to a wide variety of applications and data. We've consolidated a list of many of these applications including links to their web sites where available, as well as information on how to request access and the technical group that manages the program.

Please note that it is best to contact the Information Commons initially if there is a problem with a program you are using on a CUMC computer, so we can determine if there may be a hardware or network issue effecting it.

  • Advance
    The Alumni Development System - please select the link above for support and access information.
  • AP/CAR
    The Accounts Payable Controlled Analytical Review - please see their web site for more information. To request access you must submit the CUIT Administrative ID Request.
  • Corporate Time Calendar
    Corporate Time is now called Oracle Calendar, please scroll down for information.
  • CourseWorks: https://courseworks.columbia.edu/
    For technical support please see the CourseWorks Essentials page or contact the Information Commons for assistance on the Medical Center campus. You can logon to CourseWorks with your Columbia UNI and password, but will only have access to classes in which you are currently enrolled.
  • CubMail
    CubMail provides Web based access to your Columbia email, use your UNI and password to log in. Please see the About CubMail site for tutorials and FAQs regarding using CubMail.
    Your Department Administrator must request a UNI account for you via Peoplesoft.
  • Cyrus
    Cyrus is the email server software and hardware that was deployed by Columbia in the Fall of 2005.
  • DARTS
    The Departmental Advanced Reporting and Tracking System - please see their web site for more information. To request access please submit the FFE ID Application.
  • Data Warehouse
    Logon is via http://my.columbia.edu, then select the tab marked "DWR Reports" at the top of the page. For access please submit the CUIT Administrative ID Request.
  • Eagle Siemens
    Click here to launch the web based version of Eagle. To request access to Eagle, please submit the NYP Systems Access Form (this is a pdf file and requires Adobe Acrobat to open). For technical support please contact the Information Commons at extension 5-Help if you are using Eagle on a CUMC owned system, or please contact 4-Help (212-746-4357) if you are using it on an NYP system.
  • Email - Columbia accounts
    For technical support please contact the Information Commons at extension 5-Help.
    If you need a Columbia email account, your Department Administrator must request a Columbia UNI for you via Peoplesoft.
  • Exchange
    New Exchange email accounts for the Medical Center are temporarily unavailable. Please select the link above for more information about Exchange.
  • FFE
    For access and technical support to the the Financial Front End please see the links on the right side of the FFE web site.
  • HRPC
    Human Resources Process Center. Please select the link above for information regarding technical support and access.
  • HRIS and FAHRIS
    The Faculty Affairs Human Resource Information System. Logon access must be requested through the FFE ID Application.
  • IDX
    For initial technical support please contact Information Commons at extension 5-Help. To request access to IDX please submit the IDX System Security Access Request Form (this is a pdf file and requires Adobe Acrobat to open), there is a fax number at the bottom of the form.
  • Medline or Ovid
    Logon with your Columbia UNI and password. If you are off campus, please use the link from the Health Science Library's E-Resources page to enter. For initial technical support select the Help button in the upper right hand corner of the Ovid window, otherwise please contact Information Commons. Training on using Medline, Ovid and Pubmed is held regularly by the HSL's Reference Librarians.
  • MPE
    The Mobile Patient Encounter system is used by 3rd year Medical Students. To log on to MPE directly, please click here. The Information Commons provides technical support.
  • NYP Programs
    Password Change information for programs managed by NYP including WebCIS, Amicas, Eagle and Eclipsys as well as nyp.org email accounts. To request access to NYP managed programs please see the NYP Systems Access Form (this is a pdf file and requires Adobe Acrobat to open).
  • NYP Web Email Access
    For support with nyp.org email addresses please contact the NYP Help Desk at 4-Help (212-746-4357), extension 1.
  • Oracle Calendar
  • Outlook
    Outlook 2003 is the standard supported email program by CUbhis. Please select the link above for tutorials and more information.
  • Peoplesoft
    http://my.columbia.edu - Log in by selecting the "Columbia UNI" link in the upper left hand corner. myColumbia allows access to payroll and benefits information. Select the Help link in the upper right hand corner of myColumbia for FAQs.
    Department Administrators and other qualified staff can manage HR information on employees via Manager Self Service and create UNIs via the Delegated Identity Administration, both found within Peoplesoft.
  • Rascal
    Columbia's Research Administration System. For logon access and technical support please see Rascal's Help Page.
  • Stockamp (Profee and Clinic databases)
    Also referred to as Citrix (which is actually software that is used to connect to these databases) or Trac and Ontrac. To request access or get technical support please contact the Information Commons at extension 5-Help.
  • UNI: http://uni.columbia.edu
    Your UNI provides access to many Columbia technical resources, including your Columbia email account and myColumbia. If you have forgotten your UNI password, please contact the Information Commons. If you know your UNI password but would like to change it, please click here.
    Your Department Administrator must request a UNI account for you via Peoplesoft.
  • VPN
    VPN is the program used to access the Rome Wireless network on campus, or to connect to certain on campus programs and systems from an off-campus computer. You can logon with your Columbia UNI and password as well as an NYP/WebCIS logon (NetID). For support please contact the Information Commons at extension 5-Help.
  • WebCIS
    Web based Clinical Information Systems - for technical support with WebCIS please contact the NYP Help Desk at 4-Help (212-746-4357), extension 1. For access to WebCIS please submit the the NYP Systems Access Form (this is a pdf file and requires Adobe Acrobat to open).
  • WebPUR
    For technical support please contact Information Commons at extension 5-Help. Logon access must be requested through the FFE ID Application.
  • WebSAF
    Salary Accounting Forms on the Web - for technical support please contact Information Commons. Logon access must be requested through the FFE ID Application.
